Our Mission and Philosophy

is to provide excellent, prompt, gracious medical care for the children, men, women, and seniors of Douglas, Cobb, Fulton, Paulding & Carroll counties. We do this from a Christian perspective, and with the highest commitment to respecting the time and wishes of the patients who entrust their medical care to us.

It is most challenging, in an era of managed care and corporate medicine, to be attentive to, listen to, and get to truly know, one's patients. This is one reason why we are an independent practice. As a patient, you will be treated with dignity and respect. We reserve half of each day's appointments for same-day scheduling, so that you can be seen when you are ill or in need of a doctor, not weeks later.

It is our conviction that prevention is the key to health. Similarly, an informed, motivated patient is the key to prevention. We put much emphasis on educating our patients in a supportive environment, one where you will feel comfortable asking questions and knowing that none of them will be considered 'dumb'.

When you entrust your medical care to us you will find that we work and talk with you, not to you, in a consultative and team-oriented way.

Our Slogan

"Helping you find your apple a day" blends two of the key concepts which drive us. These are: 1) prevention of illness is better than its treatment, and 2) working with you as a team to achieve your health goals. There may be more than one way to making your health the very best that it can be. We employ Evidence-Based techniques, which gives us objective information about what works best over a large group of people, and filter it with what we know about you personally. Then we apply our clinical judgment, which represents the "art" of medicine, to individualize a health plan or treatment plan that is best for you.
